One of the most populous districts of the Bukhara Region, Gijduvan District, has been witnessing large-scale construction and development activities throughout the year. In the district, alongside residential housing and multi-storey apartment buildings, the expansion and renovation of healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and other social infrastructure, as well as the construction of additional buildings, have intensified more than ever.
Within the framework of the “Sustainable Rural Development project”, renovation and construction works are being actively carried out in the district’s Gajdumak, Jovgari, Chagdari and other communities. These activities are implemented based on the order of the State Unitary Enterprise “Single Customer Service Engineering Company” under the Bukhara regional administration and the design prepared by the state institution “Qishloqqurilishloyiha.” The works include the comprehensive renovation of preschool and school education institutions, the construction of additional academic buildings and auxiliary facilities, sports complexes, and landscaping of surrounding areas.
In particular, School No. 7 in the Gajdumak mahalla was originally designed to accommodate 640 students. However, more than one thousand students have been studying there under adapted conditions. Therefore, construction of a new three-storey academic building with a capacity of 540 students has begun. In addition, plans are underway to build a school canteen and a standard-compliant stadium for students in the coming months. For this purpose, 10 billion Uzbek soums have been allocated from the local budget, and construction works are currently progressing actively on the site.
Similarly, it has been decided to carry out a comprehensive reconstruction of School No. 26 in the Jovgari mahalla. Along with the capital reconstruction of the existing academic building designed for 880 students, an additional four-storey academic block with a capacity of 750 students will be constructed.
In addition, construction of a sports hall measuring 12 by 24 meters-long dreamed of by young sports enthusiasts-is progressing rapidly at the school. A total of 14 billion Uzbek soums is being invested in these projects, while the construction and reconstruction works at both schools are being carried out by the builders of “Muxamedov-Radjabov” LLC as the contractor.
At present, particular attention is also being given to creating a more comfortable and modern environment for education at School No. 23 in the Chagdari mahalla. Specifically, the existing academic building with a capacity of 420 students is undergoing full renovation, a new sports hall is being constructed, and the school grounds are being landscaped. These developments have brought great satisfaction to the residents of Chagdari. More than 4 billion Uzbek soums is being invested to support the physical and spiritual development of the younger generation and to ensure they receive quality education.
A school is a center of development and enlightenment. Therefore, the construction and comprehensive renovation works currently being carried out in general education schools represent a solid foundation for the future and an important investment in education.
